Ok if you have an iPod stuck at the spinning wheel an it won't go into DFU mode? What you need to do is leave it set, don't charge it because you want the battery to die so that apple can recognize it.

What you mean is iTunes to recognize it so that you can put it in either recovery mode or DFU mode.
